SVEZA Group and Valmet have signed a Memorandum of Understanding regarding the planned greenfield pulp mill project in Vologda Region of Russia.
Today Anatoly Frishman, General Director of SVEZA, and Bertel Karlstedt, President, Pulp and Energy of Valmet, the leading global developer and supplier of process technologies, automation and services for the pulp, paper and energy industries, signed a Memorandum of Understanding as part of the visit to Finland of the Russian governmental delegation headed by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. The agenda of the meeting of the Russian and Finnish prime ministers is focused on the economical cooperation, mainly cooperation on industrial projects.
The document acknowledges the objective between the two companies to partner regarding the potential development, construction, and operation of a modern, high-performance, and environment-friendly pulp mill planned to be built in the Vologda Region of Russia.
Valmet has already completed the basic engineering for the main process departments of the entire pulp production technology, including the woodyard, fiberline, pulp dryer, recovery boiler, power boiler, white liquor plant and evaporation.
SVEZA’s project is unique among other Russian large-scale projects because it has world class environmental efficiency and presents a conceptually new type of a pulp mill. Here, SVEZA relies on Valmet as a provider of best available technology and solutions.
