At Woodex 2025 in Moscow, Sveza SmartLine, a division of Sveza Group, unveiled a new defect scanner for veneer and plywood designed to inspect stationary materials. The technology was demonstrated in combination with an industrial robotic arm, allowing visitors to see the entire workflow in action.

Sveza SmartLine is a developer and end-to-end integrator of solutions in the field of machine vision, artificial intelligence, and automated process control upgrades for companies in the forestry sector and related industries. At the exhibition, which ran from December 2 to 5, Sveza SmartLine demonstrated the synchronized operation of the robotic and machine vision systems in real time.

This combination introduces a new approach to quality control. The robot positions the material, while the scanner accurately detects the type, size, and location of defects. Visitors to the exhibition could observe the technology at work and explore the system’s interface.

For manufacturers, this means faster inspections, more reliable quality control, and a clear path toward fully automated production. Our solutions are designed to integrate seamlessly into existing production lines and to scale according to the needs of the enterprise,” said Anastasiya Vershovskaya, Head of Business Development at Sveza SmartLine.

On the opening day, visitors could meet Sveza SmartLine’s engineers, developers, product managers, and leadership team at the company’s booth. Consultations, live demonstrations, and discussions on implementing the solutions were available throughout the exhibition.
